A Perfect God

A Perfect God…
Demonstrating Perfect Love…
Casting Out All Fear

So we have come to know and to believe the love that God has for us. God is love, and whoever abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him.
1 John 4:16 ESV

On the American calendar we designate one day a year for love. February 14th is reserved for “Valentine’s Day”. It is a day designated to express and receive love. As great as that is, think about this…

God your Heavenly Father expresses His love 365 days a year, around the clock, twenty four hours a day! He never forgets or fails!

God is love! In the New Testament book of 1st John, God has a lot to say about love. His love is freely given to any, and to all, who receive. 1st John speaks to the nature, identity, and definition of God, when the writer explains that,…“God is love”.

Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God, and whoever loves has been born of God and knows God. Anyone who does not love does not know God, because God is love. In this the love of God was made manifest among us, that God sent his only Son into the world, so that we might live through him.
1 John 4:7-9 ESV

Life and love go hand in hand for those who receive Jesus as their personal Lord and Savior. The scripture continues in verse 10, Jesus is the propitiation (payment) for our sins.

In this is love, not that we have loved God but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins. Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. 1 John 4:10-11 ESV

When we abide in Him, His love abides in us, and that makes us “loveable”. (Smile)
His love is perfected in us as we learn to receive and to give love.

So we have come to know and to believe the love that God has for us. God is love, and whoever abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him. By this is love perfected with us, so that we may have confidence for the day of judgment, because as he is so also are we in this world. There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear. For fear has to do with punishment, and whoever fears has not been perfected in love. 1 John 4:16-18 ESV

There is no fear in perfect love. God’s love is perfect.

So this is what I know…

A. God is love.

B. God’s love is perfected in us.

C. Perfect love casts out all fear!

The Creator is defined by love, and Love is defined through relationship with the Creator.

God is love…A perfect God, demonstrating perfect love, casting out all fear.

We have come into an intimate experience with God’s love, and we trust in the love he has for us. God is love! Those who are living in love are living in God, and God lives through them. 1 John 4:16 TPT
