and God delights in every step they take to follow him. Psalm 37:23 TPT

For most of us, every day begins with steps. Steps to the shower, steps to the closet to get ready, steps to the kitchen for breakfast, steps to the car, steps to work, and steps back home again. Think about how many different steps we all take each day.

Wow, that’s a lot of steps!

Most of us have two strong legs, and two good feet, but even if you didn’t, here are some steps that everyone can take to ensure and guarantee a better day!

Years ago, I trained myself to take steps each day, by quoting several scriptures that I walk through in my mind and spirit each morning before I even get out of bed! These scriptures have become steps I take every day to get started on the right track. While I have memorized several, I will give you my top five…

Step 1. Today is the day that God has given me to take steps in drawing closer to Him while finding happiness along the way…

This is the day that the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.

Psalm 118:24 ESV

Step 2. I don’t have to take these steps alone, I have a partnership with God…

Little children, you are from God and have overcome them, for he who is in you is greater than he who is in the world. 1 John 4:4 ESV

Step 3. God has already empowered me to take great steps of integrity with unlimited possibilities….

I can do all things through him who strengthens me. Philippians 4:13 ESV

Step 4. By trusting God, I will always find something good to do, living in the place He has provided for me…

Trust in the Lord, and do good; dwell in the land and befriend faithfulness.

Psalm 37:3 ESV

Step 5. Wherever my steps lead me, I will be strong in the Lord…

Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might.

Ephesians 6:10 ESV

I am convinced that by following these steps, every day will be a good day! Success is putting your best foot forward and stepping into the delights of a Loving God who is waiting to bless your everyday steps!
