Quarantine

“Quarantine”
Shut Your Mouth!

My God sent his angel and shut the lions' mouths, and they have not harmed me, because I was found blameless before him; and also before you, O king, I have done no harm.” Then the king was exceedingly glad, and commanded that Daniel be taken up out of the den. So Daniel was taken up out of the den, and no kind of harm was found on him, because he had trusted in his God. Daniel 6:22-23

“Shut your mouth!”

I thought that might get your attention!

Quarantine…the “Q” word!

Most of us have probably used the “Q” word more in the past 10 days than we have in the past 10 years! “Quarantine” brings thoughts of isolation, panic, and fear,…but here is the Good News, it doesn’t have to!

America and much of the world is experiencing a coronavirus pandemic, and it seems that about everyone is at risk. Maybe it’s time to learn to say to the Devil,…

”Shut your mouth!”

In the Old Testament, Daniel was suddenly placed in a dire situation! From all circumstantial evidence, he was doomed! He was faithful to God, but suddenly, he faced the open mouth of hungry lions! I wonder if he ever said to the lions,…

“Shut your mouth!”?

You see, the Devil is always roaming around threatening God’s people with fear and anxiety…

Be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour. 1 Peter 5:8

Now during the threat of coronavirus, maybe it’s time for us to say,…

”Shut your mouth!”

It only makes sense to adhere to government guidelines, and to our health and safety officials recommendations, to be cautious during this major crisis. But sometimes, when it comes to the Devil, we just need to say to fear and anxiety,…

“Shut your mouth!”

For God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control.
 2 Timothy 1:7

The God we serve is certainly able to protect us against the coronavirus, just like He protected Daniel when he was quarantined to a pit of hungry lions. Learn to say,…

”Shut your mouth!”

Then King Darius wrote to all the peoples, nations, and languages that dwell in all the earth: “Peace be multiplied to you. I make a decree, that in all my royal dominion people are to tremble and fear before the God of Daniel, for he is the living God, enduring forever; his kingdom shall never be destroyed, and his dominion shall be to the end. He delivers and rescues;  he works signs and wonders in heaven and on earth, he who has saved Daniel from the power of the lions.” Daniel 6:25-27
The God we serve during a coronavirus pandemic is the same God Daniel served in the lions den!

Our God is bigger, stronger, more powerful, all-knowing, ever-present and amazing, casting out all fear!

Our God lives within each of us who call upon Jesus as our Savior. Hungry lions didn’t have that then,…and they don’t have it now! Neither does the coronavirus or any other dreadful thing!

So, here is my advice…

Pay attention to your surroundings, obey the leaders put in place over you, use wisdom, pray, and wash your hands! But, whatever you might decide to do…

Never give in to fear!
Always live in Faith!

Begin to speak,… “Here kitty, kitty,” to your lions and when the Devil tries to overcome you with fear, turn back around to him and say…

”Shut your mouth!”

For he is the living God, enduring forever; his kingdom shall never be destroyed, and his dominion shall be to the end. He delivers and rescues: he works signs and wonders in heaven and on earth, he who has saved Daniel from the power of the lions.”Daniel 6:26-27
